Once again, my point being that any plant, or any THING for that matter, could have ritual or sacred importance to any human being, no matter what its universal characteristics are generally summarised as being.
I gotta disagree with you on the nicotine statement though. Rustica can contain up to 9% nicotine alkaloids, (16% when dried according to Ratsch), very useful for obtaining hallucinogenic states utilizable by capable shamans. Peruvian folk healers drink a decoction of wild tobacco through their nostrils during San Pedro rituals, a process known as ‘singando’, followed by a trance-like altered state due to the nicotine. Damage to the organism is, of course, incidental…
What would help, of course, is if people didn’t have to be told what is “spiritual” and what is “not spiritual”; it’s a bit like saying “you’re not in love”, something that can only really be subjectively assessed. Anything can be sacramental to any person, they simply have to bestow that importance on it, and it becomes as such for them.
To some extent we agree, but many of these herbs are exceptionally spiritual, scientifically proven spiritual. Some of them, like nicotine, are best used as a pesticide. Still, prohibition is more harmful than any drug has ever been or will ever be.
For many people and cultures entheogen use IS a religion and it is far far less harmful than any of the abrahamic faiths ever have been or ever will be. They ARE sacraments.
I agree, and the more education, the better, but it seems almost paradoxical to me to seek the establishment of the ingestion of entheogens under any sort of organised structure, it almost seems to have designs to be recognised/institutionalised (like a religion) and we all know what organised religions turn the masses into…
This unfortunately looks like an elitist piece of propaganda to me. “We’re different from other drug takers” is one step away from saying “we’re better”. I don’t think you’re better or worse; it shouldn’t be an issue of “this is a ‘spiritual’ substance” and “this is an evil, nasty, addictive substance”. Freedom of choice for the individual and acknowledgement of personal responsibility should be the number one priority, not breaks for the chemically enlightened and slaps in the face to addicts.
You can pick Magic Mushrooms for free you can grow them yourself but a 1 hour drive to go pick them is well worth it. The police are corrupt beyond belief so I don’t understand why you care how they look or see drug users seeing as the CIA has been caught with smuggler cocaine before. I have never tried LSD myself but I must say Magic mushrooms and cannabis are a blessing and anyone who disagrees is saying nature is wrong.
yourfellowsoul: “the law of self non contradiction is essential when searching for the truth” Acutally no, yourfellowsoul! The deal is kinda like when a hunter goes out into the woods to kill something, but then, as luck would have it, instead of getting the prey he was after, he actually ends up experiencing a sublime connection with nature instead. So likewise, you can ingest an entheogen for sensual reasons, but what you get is a spiritual soul-feeling also. Oh, yourfellowsoul, please know !

her fascination with sense experiences seems more desire driven then spiritual. the law of self non contradiction is essential when searching for truth(view the other videos that talk about the synthetics she’s done). though trippin is fun it is based on sense experience something relative to the body, not the soul. these videos seem more like an explanation of drug use than an insight to the soul.
I agree, lets grow entheogenic plants instead and get it for free.I’m waiting on some salvia plants and will start growing my own soon.I already have all the pots and soil ready.I’m just waiting on my 3 plants.1 cutting from each will make 6 plants and then I’ll get more cuttings and grow as much as I can:) Then I’ll make my own extracts and do some exploring!Salvia is still legal in texas where I live, but they tried to ban it already but failed.Thought I’d grow it while I can still get the plant
